The finish is only half the job.

Preparation, neat edges and careful refitting matter as much as the colour. These AI-generated service illustrations explain the workflow; they are not photographs of customer projects.

Start with a sensible budget

What could your wrapping cost?

Estimate the visible faces you want to refresh. The range includes a material allowance, film waste, installation labour and a small-job setup allowance. A surface assessment turns the estimate into a quote.

Your scope, your estimate

Front-count mode assumes each visible face is 0.60 × 0.75 m. Measure your actual doors for a closer estimate.

Door backs, extra end panels, deep profiles, handles, worktops, extensive repairs, removals, approvals and applicable taxes are not included unless added to your quote.

Budget model, not a live supplier feed or fixed offer. Small quantities, film width, grain direction and access can change the final cost.

See the estimate assumptions

Per m² of measured face area: simple-solid material allowance AED 45–75 plus 15% film waste, labour AED 65–100, and setup AED 250–400 per job. Premium allowance: material AED 80–125 plus waste, labour AED 75–115, setup AED 300–500. Specialist allowance: material AED 120–175 plus waste, labour AED 100–150, setup AED 350–600. Minor preparation adds AED 150–400 per job. These are transparent budgeting assumptions, not a claim that every branded film is available at these rates. Results round up to AED 50. Damaged surfaces require assessment before pricing.

A practical brand decision

Which wrapping brand should you choose?

There is no universal winner. Choose by the exact film code, cabinet substrate, door profile, heat and moisture exposure, installer method and written warranty—not the logo alone.

Swipe sideways to compare the three film families ↔

Brand familyStronger fitQuality points to compareWhen it may be the sensible shortlist
3M DI-NOCOfficial architectural finishes information ↗Specified premium interiors, commercial or high-use areas, and doors with curves, returns or complex edges where a documented architectural-film system matters.Exact DI-NOC family and code, approved substrate, primer and edge method, cleaning data, authorised local supply, installer experience and the warranty that applies to this application.Compare it first when technical documentation, a large finish system and complex geometry matter more than finding the lowest material price.
Bodaq by Hyundai L&COfficial product information ↗Texture-led residential or commercial work, including cabinets, doors and flat, curved or compound surfaces.Exact code and technical sheet, air-channel adhesive installation method, grain direction, local stock, installer familiarity, relevant test certificates and written warranty terms.Compare it first when a particular tactile wood, stone, solid or specialty texture—and its behaviour around the chosen profile—is the design priority.
Cover Styl’Official product information ↗Design-led and cost-conscious residential refreshes needing a wide choice across wood, colour, stone, concrete, steel and textile looks.Physical sample, exact reference data sheet, approved surface and use, local stock, edge detail, cleaning guidance and separate material and installation warranties.Compare it first when finish choice, local availability and installed value align—and the selected reference is approved for the actual surface and exposure.
Quick answer: Start with 3M DI-NOC when specification and complex detailing lead the decision; Bodaq when texture and shaped surfaces lead; and Cover Styl’ when a broad design shortlist and installed value lead. Then let the physical sample, substrate check, exact technical sheet, local stock and written warranty decide the final code.

Comparison disclaimer: This is a project-fit guide, not a laboratory ranking, paid endorsement, stock promise or statement that every reference in a brand is suitable for kitchens. Product families and warranties vary. Confirm the selected code, technical data, intended application, local supply and both manufacturer and installation warranty before approval.

Which option is economical? For sound, flat fronts, a simple stocked finish with limited edge detail is a sensible first comparison. The lowest roll price is not always the lowest installed price: door condition, cutting waste, access and installation can outweigh the material saving.
Save where it makes sense

Keep a sound layout

A colour refresh can avoid the cost of replacing usable cabinet boxes. Keep electrical and plumbing changes separate so they do not disappear inside a wrapping quote.

Compare like for like

Fronts are not the whole kitchen

Ask whether the quote includes end panels, visible edges, plinths, backs, handles and removal of the old film. Two different scopes can look like a big price difference.

Do not save on this

Preparation and edges

Grease, loose laminate and damp boards can undermine an expensive film. A cheaper quote that skips substrate preparation is a poor comparison.

Beyond kitchen cabinet fronts

Where wrapping can make sense.

The decision starts with the surface and how it is used. “Vinyl” alone is not a specification for every part of a home.

01

Kitchen fronts & end panels

A candidate when the boards, hinges and layout are sound. Check edge adhesion, grease around handles and heat near appliances.

Need a new layout instead? →

02

Wardrobes & fitted storage

Useful for a coordinated refresh without changing usable carcasses. Plan grain alignment and clearances at sliding tracks.

Coordinate an apartment refresh →

03

Interior doors & panels

Confirm the door type, finish condition and frame scope. Fire-rated doors need specialist approval; decorative film must not compromise their specification.

05

Furniture & reception panels

Some stable furniture and fitted panels can be refreshed. Curves, frequent impact and complex detailing require product-specific assessment.

Plan an office refresh →

06

Worktops: a separate decision

Do not assume cabinet film is suitable for hot cookware, food preparation or standing water. Ask for a product approved for the exact use, or choose a different surface.

Wrap, repair or replace?

The right answer may be a smaller job.

Wrap

Sound boards, usable hardware, a layout you like—and a finish you want to change.

Repair first

Minor chips or loose coatings that can be properly repaired and stabilised before film is applied.

Replace the affected parts

Swollen boards, persistent leaks, unstable doors or a layout that no longer works. See our micro renovation options.

The Revive Hub process

Agree the details before the first door comes off.

The preview starts the conversation. A measured scope, sample approval and surface check make the installation plan useful.

How long does kitchen wrapping take in Dubai?

A straightforward small or medium kitchen can sometimes be completed in one working day. Two working days—or longer—may be more realistic when the scope, preparation or detailing increases.

Swipe to see what changes the programme ↔

Planning windowWhen it may be realisticWhat can extend it
Sometimes one working daySound, clean and stable fronts; finish code already approved; standard flat doors; visible external faces only; clear access; no repairs or old-film removal.Door count, crew size, drying or preparation needs, permitted working hours and unexpected substrate defects can still change the plan.
Plan around two working daysA normal larger scope with more doors, end panels, plinths, grain matching, detailed edges, handle work and careful removal and refitting.Profiled doors, restricted access, occupied-kitchen phasing, hardware adjustment or extra included faces.
Two days or longer · assess firstOld film or loose laminate must be removed; minor repairs are needed; doors are shaped; inside faces, worktops or several adjoining surfaces are included.Moisture damage, swollen MDF, unstable fronts or leaks may require repair or replacement before wrapping can start.
Revive Hub planning standard: organise an agreed, measured scope efficiently, but do not trade surface preparation, secure edges, working hardware or the final inspection for a one-day promise. The confirmed programme belongs in the written quote after the surface and access check.

The checks that prevent an expensive redo

Common wrapping shortcuts—and the Revive Hub standard.

A premium film cannot rescue a weak surface or rushed edge. Most avoidable failures begin with the substrate, preparation, specification or handover—not the colour itself.

Swipe to compare each risk with the standard to request ↔

Common shortcut to avoidWhat can go wrongRevive Hub standard
Covering swollen MDF, damp board or loose laminateThe film follows the unstable layer underneath. Bubbles, movement or lifting can return even if the first-day finish looks neat.Check for moisture, leaks, swelling and loose coatings first. Repair, replace the affected front or decline that surface before wrapping.
Applying film over grease, dust or cleaner residueAdhesion becomes inconsistent, especially around handles, sink-side doors and edges.Remove hardware where agreed, clean and degrease the substrate, let it dry, prepare it for the specified film and keep the surface protected before fitting.
Choosing from a phone screen aloneScreen settings and warm kitchen lighting can change the apparent colour, sheen and grain.Approve the exact brand and code from a physical sample against the worktop, floor and lighting in daylight and evening conditions.
Ignoring grain direction and cutting allowanceNeighbouring doors can look mismatched; joins may become obvious and usable coverage can fall.Record the grain direction and included faces before cutting, then allow for matching, returns, end panels and waste.
Forcing one film around every profile or sharp edgeDeep grooves, tight corners and stressed returns can expose weak points if the code or technique is unsuitable.Match the exact film and installation method to flat, curved or profiled doors; agree any primer, seam or replacement-front decision before work.
Treating “heat resistant” as heatproofDirect pans, flame, steam paths and appliance heat can exceed the selected product’s intended use. A cabinet-door film is not automatically a worktop film.Check the exact technical instructions and appliance clearances. Protect horizontal surfaces from hot cookware, knives and unsuitable cleaning chemicals.
Leaving faces, edges and warranties vagueQuotes appear cheaper when backs, plinths, end panels, handles, removal or repairs are missing; material and labour warranties may be confused.List every included face and exclusion, the exact film code, preparation, programme, care guidance and separate manufacturer and installation warranty terms.
Skipping the final functional inspectionA good-looking door can still rub, misalign, trap an edge or interfere with hinges and handles.Inspect corners, seams, clearances, grain alignment, hardware movement and the agreed scope with the client before handover.

These checks reduce avoidable risk; they are not a promise that every existing cabinet can be wrapped. Hidden damage may only become clear during inspection or careful removal of an unstable layer.

Straight answers before you book

Kitchen wrapping questions, answered.

How much does kitchen wrapping cost in Dubai?

There is no reliable whole-kitchen price without measurements and a surface check. Use the calculator for a transparent planning range, then request a written quote listing the measured area, exact film, preparation, edges, exclusions and any applicable tax. Retail film prices below are material-only benchmarks, not installation quotes.

Can I preview a finish on my own kitchen photo?

Yes. Upload a photo in the tool on this page, mark each visible cabinet face, and choose a finish. The preview changes the selected area only. It is a colour and style guide, not automatic cabinet detection or a colour-certified render. Your photo stays in your browser unless you choose to send it.

Is wrapping cheaper than replacing the kitchen?

It can be when the cabinet boxes, doors, hinges and layout are sound. Repair costs, intricate edges or premium film can narrow the saving. If moisture has swollen the boards or the layout needs plumbing or electrical changes, repair or replacement may be the better use of your budget.

What else can be wrapped besides kitchen cabinets?

Suitable interior wardrobe fronts, ordinary interior doors, vanity fronts, fitted storage and some furniture panels may be candidates. Surface condition and the selected film decide suitability. Floors, direct shower areas, fire-rated doors, exterior surfaces and hot worktops need separate assessment and a product approved for that use.

Can I wrap peeling laminate or water-damaged MDF?

Do not cover a loose or wet layer and expect the new film to fix it. The substrate must be dry, stable and clean. Loose coatings need removal or repair; swollen or crumbling boards may need replacement. Revive Hub checks these points before confirming the scope.

Can vinyl wrapping be used beside a hob or on a worktop?

Do not assume a decorative film is heatproof, food-contact certified or suitable for a horizontal worktop. Check the exact product instructions and appliance clearances. Protect finishes from direct hot cookware, flame and knife cuts. A cabinet-door specification does not automatically apply to a worktop.

Which wrapping brand should I choose for kitchen cabinets?

No single brand is automatically best. Shortlist 3M DI-NOC when detailed specification or complex edges matter, Bodaq when tactile textures and shaped surfaces lead, and Cover Styl’ when broad design choice and installed value lead. Confirm the exact code against a physical sample, the substrate, its current technical sheet, UAE stock and the written product and installation warranties.

How long does kitchen wrapping take in Dubai?

A straightforward small or medium kitchen may fit into one working day when the fronts are sound, the finish code is approved, access is clear and no repairs or old-film removal are needed. Larger kitchens, detailed profiles, grain matching, end panels, hardware work or repairs commonly need two working days or longer. Revive Hub confirms the programme after checking the surfaces and access.

Why can kitchen wrap lift at the edges?

Edge lifting is usually a system problem, not simply a colour problem. Grease, moisture, loose laminate, weak preparation, excessive stretching, unsuitable profiles, heat or poor edge finishing can contribute. The substrate, exact film and detail should be checked before fitting; a lifted or swollen layer should not simply be covered.

How should wrapped kitchen cabinets be cleaned?

Follow the care method for the exact film code. As a safe starting point, use a soft cloth and mild non-abrasive cleaner, wipe spills promptly, and avoid harsh solvents, abrasive pads, steam concentrated at edges and direct heat. Ask for the manufacturer’s current care instructions for the selected reference at handover.

How long will wrapping last, and is there a warranty?

Life depends on the film, preparation, edge treatment, heat, moisture and care. Ask for the exact manufacturer warranty and a separate written installation warranty for the quoted scope. A manufacturer warranty is not a promise that every surface or installation is covered.

Can I stay at home while the work is done?

Often the work can be phased, but access, dust from preparation and safe use of the kitchen must be agreed first. Ask which doors will be removed, whether sink or hob use will be interrupted, and what needs to be cleared. The programme is confirmed after the surface assessment.

Do I need a landlord or building NOC in Dubai?

Check your tenancy agreement and building or community rules before booking. Requirements depend on the property and scope. If work extends into electrical, plumbing, structural or fire-safety changes, additional approvals may apply. Decorative wrapping is not permission to carry out those other works.

Can I remove the film later without damage?

Removal is not guaranteed to be damage-free. Old paint, weak laminate, veneer and adhesive history can affect the result. For a rental property, agree the finish and reinstatement expectations with the owner before work starts.

Are the catalogue swatches and 3D view exact?

No. Screen settings, lighting and the photo affect colour. The tool uses approximate swatches and illustrative grain. Its rotatable cabinet is a generic finish sample, not a reconstruction of your kitchen. Confirm the real finish, grain direction and texture with a physical sample.

How do I get a firm quote from Revive Hub?
